Edmond MASSE

1900 - 1944 | Naissance: | Arrestation: | Résidence:

Edmond MASSE

The eldest son of Aaron Massé and Alice Rosenthal, Edmond Massé was born in Paris on January 24, 1900.

He was incarcerated at Drancy on September 14, 1943 (I.D. number 4901), deported to Auschwitz on July 31, 1944 in convoy 77, gassed on August 5, 1944 (Journal Officiel 1995 – p 00517 – p 00528).
His camp record indicates his profession as pastry cook, which was in fact that of his brother, who died in 1940 of sleeping sickness.
Actually, he was a jazz guitar and banjo musician.
He worked with Grégor et ses grégoriens, le Jazz du Poste Parisien, and Michel Warlop, etc…
