An original transdisciplinary project at Metz

The French Newspaper Le Républicain Lorrain related the story of a Convoy 77 project at Metz (eastern France).

Pupils from 15 to 17 years old wrote 4 biographies of children deported by convoy 77 : Cécile and Simon Dembicer and their cousins Joseph and Jacques Tabak. They had Julia Ghisalberti’s help, cousin of Cécile and Simon Dembicer.

This project was lead by Bruno Mandaroux, history teacher, but he involved the philosophy teacher too. Students worked on Holocaust denial during philosophy class.

Pupils from Metz also built a cooperation with students from La Roche-Chalais, the city where the children Dembicer grew up, to help during the historical investigation.
